CSK Rajasthan Royals Trade Deal Gains Player Consent

CSK Rajasthan Royals trade deal — A blockbuster IPL transfer could soon be finalized, as reports suggest that Sanju Samson, Ravindra Jadeja, and Sam Curran have all agreed to a historic three-player trade between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR).

Consent and Process Underway

According to a Cricbuzz report, all three players have provided their consent, and the Expression of Interest process has begun. A franchise insider confirmed, “All three have signed on the dotted line, but the process will take some time to culminate.”

While consent has been obtained, the franchises have yet to officially inform the BCCI or IPL authorities. The board’s approval is essential, especially since one of the players, Sam Curran, is an overseas cricketer requiring an NOC from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

High-Profile Player Movement

If finalized, this would mark one of the most significant trades in IPL history. The deal would send RR captain Sanju Samson to CSK, while Ravindra Jadeja — who began his IPL career with Rajasthan — and Sam Curran would move in the opposite direction.

Background and Context

Samson has represented RR for 11 seasons and hinted earlier that he was ready for a new challenge. Meanwhile, Jadeja has been a cornerstone of CSK’s success, helping them to multiple titles and even captaining the team briefly in 2022. Curran, a former CSK and Punjab Kings player, remains one of the most versatile all-rounders in world cricket.

The proposed CSK-RR trade could be finalized within 48 hours, pending BCCI approval and necessary documentation.
